Comedian Carlos Mencia, The Nelson Twins guest on Las Vegas Backstage Talk Radio Show on 1230AM, KLAV in Las Vegas and The Web.
In a candid “comic to comic” videotaped interview at Treasure Island, following Mencia’s phone interview on our radio show, Carlos answers accusations of stealing comedy material from his peers, which led to the cancellation of “Mind of Mencia” on Comedy Central.

Currently on the road with his “C 4 URself” Tour, comedic superstar Carlos Mencia. Mencia has appearances on television shows including “In Living Color” and “An Evening at the Improv.” In 2000, he released a comedy album called “Take a Joke, America” that showcased his brand of confrontational humor. In 2002, he received a CableACE Award nomination for “Best Stand-Up Comedy Special” for his HBO special, and was featured on “Comedy Central Presents” later that year. In early 2005, “Mind of Mencia” debuted on Comedy Central, which drew an average of 1.5 million viewers. His most recent Comedy Central special, “New Territory,” debuted in December 2011.
His acting credits include starring opposite Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan in 2007’s “The Heartbreak Kid,” and in 2010 he starred in “Our Family Wedding” with Forrest Whittaker and America Ferrara.

Whitney Cummings is a Los Angeles based comedian, actor, writer and producer.
Cummings writes, executive produces, and stars in her autobiographical sitcom Whitney, currently in it’s second season on NBC. Cummings also co-created and co-wrote, along with Michael Patrick King, the CBS comedy 2 Broke Girls starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs.
Cummings appears regularly on E!’s, Chelsea Lately and has appeared on Comedy Central in the Comedy Central Roasts series as well as her hour-long stand up special, Money Shot, which was nominated for an American Comedy Award in 2010.
Cummings was named one of VARIETY’s “10 Scribes to Watch” in 2011, and received the “Comedian of the Year Award” at the 2010 Young Hollywood Awards. In 2009 Cummings was honored as one of ENTERTIANMENT WEEKLY’s “Comedy Stars of Tomorrow” and was named one of VARIETY’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch” in 2007.
Cummings graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Pennsylvania, after which she got her start starring as a series regular on MTV’s “Punk’d.”

Spanning from the late 1950’s into the new millennium, the Earls have continuously been pleasing audiences with their flawless harmonies ceaseless vitality and endearing dedication to their fans. Larry Chance & the Earls represent the music that helped define Rock ‘N’ Roll, the original doo wop era that put the street corner- society onto the national charts.
Known for songs like “Never,” “Remember,” and “Life is but a dream,” Larry Chance has a solo recording career as well, and is working on his second solo jazz album.
Larry and Host Michele LaFong, used to work The Catskill Mountains, and The Pocono Resort Circuit together, over fifteen years ago.

Impressionist Louise DuArt guests on Las Vegas Backstage Talk Radio Show with Comedian Michele LaFong on 1230AM KLAV in Las Vegas and The Web.
She will also be featured in Michele LaFong’s Monthly Syndicated Columns, “Las Vegas Backstage Talk,” and “Getting Personal with the Stars,” in both Gaming Today, and Casino Player Magazine.
She began her career on the children’s show, The Krofft Supershow, playing Nashville, a member of the fictional band, Kaptain Kool and the Kongs; she later worked on Krofft’s last kid’s show, The Krofft Superstar Hour, in which Kaptain Kool and the Kongs were replaced with the Bay City Rollers. She remained as a voice. Some of her notable impersonations are Edith Bunker, George Burns, Judge Judy, Joan Rivers, and Barbara Walters. She toured with Harvey Korman and Tim Conway from 2001 through 2005. DuArt now makes appearances on many religious-themed programs and events.
Louise will be performing with Ricki Skaggs “Music, Inspiration, & Comedy”on May 17, at The Oak Ridge Boy’s Theatre, Bramson, MI
