Accomplished actor, dancer, and singer Ben Vereen is no stranger to the entertainment scene. On Broadway, Vereen has appeared in “Wicked,” “Fosse,” “I’m Not Rappaport,” “Hair,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Grind,” “Pippin,” “Jelly’s Last Jam” and “A Christmas Carol.” Off-Broadway credits include the award-winning original production of “The Exonerated.” His role in “Pippin” garnered him both the prestigious Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for “Best Actor in a Musical.” Vereen’s most recent starring role was in the Broadway-bound play “Fetch Clay, Make Man” directed by Des McAnuff, which premiered at the award-winning McCarter Theater.
For more than 35 years, Vereen has showcased his versatility and creativity, performing countless one-man shows around the world. He was the first simultaneous winner of the “Entertainer of the Year,” “Rising Star,” and “Song and Dance Star” awards from the American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA)
While performing on stages worldwide, Vereen also pursued high profile film roles, including Chicken George in “Roots” and Louis Armstrong in “Louis Armstrong – Chicago Style.” Vereen’s television guest appearances include “Grey’s Anatomy,” for which he won the Prism Award, “Law and Order: Criminal Intent,” “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” “Oz,” “Touched By An Angel,” “Second Noah,” “New York Undercover,” “The Nanny,” “Star Trek – The Next Generation,” “The Jamie Fox Show, The Promised Land,” and “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” as well as recurring roles on “Silk Stalkings,” “Webster,” “J.J. While singing, acting, directing and writing has given Sal an outlet for his creativity, comedy remains his first love. He performs at venues across the nation, giving hilarious performance after performance, bringing laughter into the lives of his countless fans. His characterizations of famous singers is very funny. Singer / Entertainer – Rick Faugno
In Faugno’s new self-titled one-man show, audiences will experience a combination of the upbeat New Classic Vegas styles of Blues, Jazz, Soul, Pop, Rock, and Latin genre. His journey of self-expression includes music by innovative performers such as James Brown, Sammy Davis, Jr., Michael Jackson, and Frank Sinatra, as well as original tracks Faugno wrote himself.
Rick Faugno has been performing professionally since the age of 12 when he played Will Rogers, Jr. in “Will Rogers Follies” on Broadway. Faugno went on to study acting and theatre, and earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from New York University. Since, his career has included such memorable shows as “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” “Fosse,” “Wonderful Town,” and “Conversations with My Father” on Broadway, as well as national tours of “The Boy Friend,” directed by Julie Andrews and “Jersey Boys,” in the critically acclaimed role of Frankie Valli. In 2010, Faugno showcased a standards-influenced songbook in “Songs My Idols Sang (and Danced)” and is currently the star of his own new classic Vegas one-man show.
